Flower Size 1/8" [4 mm] - In China Niu Chi Lan

Common Name Small Flowered Appendicula

Found in Hainan China and the Philippines on rocks on steep slopes and often near streams on trees as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte and occasional terrestrial or lithophyte at elevations of 15 to 800 meters that is quite rare in collections and has a sympodial growth habit and oblong-lanceolate, alternate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the fall, winter and spring on a short to .6" [1.5 cm] long, terminal or axillary, to 6 flowered racemose inflorescence with linear-lanceolate bracts.

CAUTION Many references now give this name as a synonym of A reflexa, I await more information although I as well feel that they are close.

Synonyms Podochilus micranthus (Lindl.) Schltr. 1900
