Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1000 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short to stolon-like rhizome giving rise to terete, densely leafy stems carrying numerous, erect-patent to suberect, ligulate, obliquely obtuse, with small, apical mucron leaves that blooms in the early summer on a terminal, 1.2" [3 cm] long, sublaxly 5 to 10 flowered inflorescence with patent, lanceolate, acuminate, equal to the flower in length floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are yellowish with the petals flushed with red.
