Appendicula rupestris Ridl.1896
SECTION Appendicula Drawing by Seidenfaden
Plant and Flower? Photos by © Art Vogel
Common Name The Rock Living Appendicula
Flower Size .2" [5 mm]
Found in penninsular Malaysia on riverbanks as a small sized lithophyte with an erect, slender stem carrying grass-like, narrowing to a blunt tip leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal or near stem apex, elongating, 2" [5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence
CAUTION!!! I am not sure of the photo determination above as the plant does not have grass-like leaves and many flowers on a terminal inflorescence and fits the description for A undulata more. I await better photos and references. The Drawing by Seidenfaden is what I base this on. I have not seen Ridley's description.
Synonyms Podochilus rupestris (Ridl.) Schltr.1900
