Common Name or Meaning The Large Sepal Arachnis

Flower Size 4.5" [11 cm]

Found in north Borneo at elevations around 900 meters as a giant sized, monopodial, warm growing epiphyte with a semi-pendulous, elongate, branched, leafy stem carrying ligulate, unequally bilobed apically, articulated to the basal sheath, coriaceous leaves that blooms in the summer on an axillary, to 24" [60 cm] long, green, lax, 8 to 10 flowered inflorescence with 2 small, pale brown, scarious basal bracts and 2 remote, ovate, scarious bracts above as well as yellowish green, ovate, obtuse, scarious, persistent floral bracts.
