Found in southwest Western Australia in coastal and near coastal forests at elevations of sealevel to 700 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, ovoid, fleshy tuber giving rise to 1 to 2, erect, basal, distichous, sessile, linear to lanceolate, one usually larger than the other, dark green, acute to acuminate apically leaves that blooms in the summer through late winter on an erect, terminal, wiry, 6 to 12" [15 to 30 cm] long, 2 to 25 flowered inflorescence carrying widely spaced, resupinate flowers.
