Found in Queensland Australia in Epacrid Scrub at elevations of sea level to 100 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, warm growing terrestrial with an ovoid tuber giving rise to 2 different growths, one a rosette of 2 to 5, bluish green, elliptic, acute leaves which encircles the other with just a wiry, leafless stem carrying one sheathing bract giving rise in the later spring through summer to an erect, 4.8 to 14.4" [12 to 37 cm] long, 3 to 15 flowered inflorescence
