Found in Yunnan province of China, Assam, the eastern Himalayas and Myanmar on tree trunks in evergreen broad-leaved forests at elevations below 1900 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a pendulous stem carrying in the upper portion, 3 to 5, terete, fleshy, channeled adaxially, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on 1 to 2, supra-axillary, racemose, 1.6 to 3.6" [4 to 9 cm] long, several to 11 flowered inflorescence with ovate reflexed, membraneous floral bracts
