Common Name The False Cymbidium Like Leaf Ascidieria

Flower Size 1/4" [8mm]

Found in Borneo in lower montane mossy forests at elevations of 1200 to 2100 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with very small, stem-like pseudobulbs hidden within the leaf sheaths and carrying about 3, linear, acuminate leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect to arching, shorter than the leaves, 4.8" [12 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence

This species is most distinguished from Ascidieria cymbiformis by the elongate stem. The form var hirsuta differs form the type by the resupinate flowers and the densely hirsute inflorescence.
