Found in south eastern Brazil as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect, glabrous, leafy stem carrying 7 to 8, membraneous, grading larger above, elliptic, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, 1.5" [3.75 cm] long, several flowered inflorescnece with erect, slightly membraneous, , dry pale brown, single nerved, slightly puberulous, shorter to longer than the ovary floral bracts
