Found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 950 to 1900 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with short, cylindrical ramicauls enveloped basally by pale sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, linear-ligulate, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the canaliculate, narrowly petiolate base leaf that blooms on a singular, erect, thin, 4.4" [11 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with cucullate-ovate, acuminate floral bracts.
