Common Name Gardner's Barbosella [English Botanist and Collector in Brazil early 1900's]

Found in Sao Paulo and Rio States of Brazil in very wet, shady trees around swamps, streams and rivers at elevations of 1000 to 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an erect ramicaul carrying a single, apical, ovate, acute leaf that blooms in the later summer on an erect, stiff, 1.2" [3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
