Flower Size

Found in Dominican Republic at elevations around 100 meters as a medium sized, hot growing terrestrial.

The photo by Senghas is the photo of the TYPE orchid for this species.

CAUTION!!!! Many sources put this orchid as a synonym of B patula but there are many obvious differences. The calli on the lip are quite distinctive and the shape of the flower certainly is different. That being said it seems that B patula is quite variable in form and in the calli on the lip so ........ .
