Common Name Arechavaleta's Brachystele [Uruguayan Botanist late 1800's early 1900's]

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Rio Grande do Sul state of Brazil and Uruguay as a cold growing terrrestrial that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, densely many flowered inflorescence.

"Similar to Brachystele dilatata but distinguished by the almost circular lip covered with elongated papillae on the upper side." Schlechter 1920
