Found in New Guinea on trees in lower montane forests at elevations around 700 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with ovoid-conical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblanceolate-oblong, apiculate leaf that blooms in the winter on a very short, .1 to .18" [2 to 3.5 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence with ovate-acuminate, glabrous, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
