Found in New Guinea on trees in lower montane forests at elevations around 250 to 800 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with 2" between each, subcylindric, subparellel to the rhizome pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, subglabrous, oblong-lanceolate, subacute, subcuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a short, single flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, about as long as the ovary floral bracts.
