Common Name The Diamantina Bulbophyllum [An area of central Brazil]

Found in Minas Gerais and Goias states of Brazil at elevations of 1400 to 1500 meters as a miniature to just small sized, cool growing terrestrial or lithophyte with .08 to .6" [.2 to 1.5 cm] between each ovoid, with angled faces, brownish yellow, slightly compressed pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, cylindrical, fleshy, longitudinally sulcate, acute, olive-green, subconstricted beow into the base leaf that blooms in the late fall and winter on an erect, peduncle 1.68 to 7.12" [4.2 to 17.8 cm] long, rachis 1.2 to 5.28" [3 to 13.2 cm] long, pendulous, curved, lax, spirally arranged, 9 to 46 flowered inflorescence with oval-lanceolate, membraneous, acute, wine-colored, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
