Common Name or Meaning The White Bracted Bulbophyllum

Flower Size .2" [5 mm]

Found in Yunnan province of China and Thailand at elevations of 1800 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with globular, flattened, wrinkled in maturity pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, erect leaves that blooms on a basal, pendent, peduncle to .6" [1.5 cm] long, light green, almost completely enveloped by 2 to 3 hyaline sheaths, rachis to .6" [1.5 cm] long, 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence with very conspicuous, strongly recurved, white with green to purplish shades, very finely serrulate margined floral bracts.

Readily distinguished by the large, white, conspicuous floral bracts.
