Found in Sumatra, Java and Sulawesi in mossy forests at elevations of 800 to 1900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with .12 to .6" [.3 to 1.5 cm] between each loosely clustered, cylindrical pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, fleshy, terete, deeply channeled above, gradually narrowing below into the .12 to .32" [.3 to .8 cm] long, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later summer on an erect to arching, lax, 1 to 1.8" [2.5 to 4.5 cm] long, 5 to 8 flowered inflorescence with acute floral bracts and carrying unpleasantly scented flowers.
