Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, oblong-ligulate, obtuse, very narrow below into base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, very short, single flowered inflorescence with apiculate floral bracts.
