Common Name or Meaning Ankera's Bulbophyllum [Mrs Katja Anker, Sulawesian discoverer of the type current]

Flower Size .32" [8 mm]

Found in Sulawesi in primary forests at elevations of 1100 to 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a long creeping, straggling rhizome with soon evanesc ent sheaths and with .2 to 2.6" [.5 to 6.5 cm] between each, somewhat erect, ovoid to globose, angular pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to ovate,acute to minutely cuspidate, petiolate bsae leaf that blooms on an erect,peduncle 1.32 to 2" [3.3 to 5 cm] long, provided with 2 bracts, rachis .28 to .4" [.7 to 1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with acute, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
