Found in Papua New Guinea in primary forests at elevations around 1700 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a patent to pendulous rhizome giving rise to ovoid to ellipsoid, slightly flattened pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic, sub- to acute, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the early spring and fall on a basal, 1.2" [3 cm] long, 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts.
