Found in the Thailand, Indonesia, Borneo, Moluccas and Sulawesi at elevations of 400 to 1200 meters as a hot cool growing epiphyte that has delightfully scented flowers
Many sources make this species a synonym of B ecornutum but I have left them separate for now. It is also similar to
Bulbophyllum bruneiense butit has a glabrous lip margin and the patent linear, obtuse tooth along the lower margin of the stelida
