LATE and EARLY AND LATE to EARLY

Common Name Arfak Mountain Bulbophyllum

Flower Size 3/4" [2.2 cm]

Found in the Arfak Mountains of Papua New Guinea as a small sized, unifoliate, hot growing epiphyte at elevations of 50 to 400 meters in rainforests, farmland margins and river valleys on tree branches with an ascending growth habit and pseudobulbs that are 1" [2.5 cm] apart on the rhizome and blooms in the late winter and spring as well as late summer and fall on a to 5 1/2" [to 14 cm] long, stout inflorescence with triangular bracts and carrying a solitary flower held well above the leaves.
