Common Name The Ascochilus-Like Bulbophyllum [refers to its similarity to the genus Ascochilus]

Found in northern and western Sumatra at elevations around 1500 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short, creeping rhizome with close set, at an acute angle to the rhizome, ovoid-conical, obtuse, channeled on the back pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, thin but fleshy, oblanceolate, obtuse leaf that blooms on a more or less erect, basal, peduncle terete, densely hairy, to .38" [9.5 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence
