Found in New Caledonia in rain forest at elevations around 1100 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte on mossy trees with a robust, creeping rhizome giving rise to yellow, quadrangular pseudobulbs and carrying a single, apical, erect, greenish yellow, spatulate leaf that blooms in the winter, spring and fall on several, basal, single flowered inflorescence
