Found in New Guinea on trees in montane forests at elevations aound 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, apiculate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a basal, erect, short, single flowered inflorescence
