Common Name The Short-Lipped Bulbophyllum

Flower Size .8” [2 cm]

Found in New Guinea in forests on tree trunks at elevations around 700 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with narrowly conical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, obliquely ligulate, subacute to minutely apiculate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a shortly pedunculate, .6 to 1" [1.5 to 2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with very small, many times shorter than the very long pedicel floral bract.
