Common Name The Beautiful Lipped Bulbophyllum
Flower Size 1.72" [4.3 cm]
Found in Papua and New Guinea on tree trunks with little or no moss in montane forests around 500 to 1200 meters in elevation as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with distant, .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long, ovoid psuedobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, ligulate, obtuse, narrowly petiolate leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, erect becoming nodding, to 20" [50 cm] long, densly and successively single, many flowered, racemose inflorescence with ovate, subobtuse, two times shorter than the pedicellate ovary floral bracts.
