Found in northern Madagascar in lichen rich forests at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with .2 to .32" [5 to 8 mm] between each ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single apical, oblong, obtuse, shortly contracted-petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on a basal, erect, setiform, carrying several small sheaths, .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long overall, loosely 5 to 10 flowered inflorescence with widely oval-cucullate-apiculate, longer than the pedicel floral bracts and carrying an almost transparent flower.
