Found in northern Madagascar on very wet rocks in rivers at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing lithophyte with a branching rhizome with suborbicular pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, linear-lanceolate leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, thread-like, .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence .
