Found in Sabah Borneo in upper non-mossy montane forests at elevations of 1400 to 1900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with close set, ellipsoid, somewhat flattened pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, rather thick, elliptic, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, basal, 1 to 1.6" [2.5 to 4 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a tubular floral bract.
