Found in New Guinea on montane slopes at elevations around 500 to 1300 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with .8 to 2.4" [2 to 6 cm] between each conic-cylindrical pseudobulb and carrying a single apical, erect, lanceolate-ligulate, acuminate, attenuate into the base leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on a short to .32" [8 mm], few bracted, single flowered inflorescence with an apiculate floral bract
