Found in Rio de Janiero and Minas Gerais States of Brazil at elevations of 800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with close set, ovoid, deeply furrowed, quadrangular pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, erect lanceolate leaf that blooms in the late spring on a basal, erect, 4.8" [12 cm] long, few to several flowered inflorescence carrying the flowers all facing one direction.
