Found in New Guinea on trees along creeks in lowland forests at elevations around 250 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to conical-cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, linear-ligulate, acute, narrow based leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, filiform, .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with small floral bracts.
