Found in New Guinea and Sulawesi in primary mist forests on moss covered limbs of large trees at elevations of 1000 to 1200 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with close set, conic-cylindical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ligulate, acute to apiculate, cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the late spring and summer on a 1/2” to .6” [1.2 to 1.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with very small, shorter than the subsessile ovary floral bracts and holding the flower close to the pseudobulb.
