Found in New Guinea in forests on trees at elevations of 400 to 1200 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with cylindrical, ascending, subparellel pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ligulate to lanceolate ligulate, acute to apiculate, cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the late spring through fall on a short to .52" [1.3 cm] long, sublax to densely, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence
