Found in India, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam? at elevations of 1850 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with terete pseudobulbs carrying two apical, papery deciduous leaves that fall just before blooming which occurs in the winter on a thick, 10" [25 cm] long, pendant to erect, densely many flowered, cylindrically racemose inflorescence carrying dangling, hirsute, fragrant [cinnamon] flowers.
