Found in northern and central-eastern Madagascar in seasonally dry, deciduous and humid evergreen forests as well as woodlands at elevations around sea-level to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] between each, discoid, compressed pseudobulb carrying 2, apical, broadly ovate, very obtuse leaves that blooms in the winter spring summer and fall on a basal, .48 to .6" [1.2 to 1.5 cm] long, 5 to 7 flowered inflorescence.
Similar to B minutum but this one differs in the short, few flowered inflorescence and the differnt shaped lip.
