Common Name The Smashed Bug Smelling Bulbophyllum
Flower Size 1/5 to 3/8" [.5 to 1 cm]
Found in Madagascar and the Comoros Islands at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters as a medium sized, cool to hot growing epiphyte with large, 4", oval, 4 angled pseudobulbs and 2 or more persistent, leathery, oblong, apically blunt leaves that narrow toward the base that blooms in the spring, summer and fall on an arching, 10" [25 cm] long inflorescence carrying many flattly compressed, small, stinky flowers held just above the leaves.
