Common Name The Small Petal Bulbophyllum

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in eastern Brazil at elevations of 1000 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a creeping, branching, woody rhizome with .4" [1 cm] between each conical to ovoid, rugose, light green pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, acute, basally clasping leaf that blooms in the late fall through late spring on a basal, erect, wirey, 7.2" [18 cm] long overall, rachis at an angle to the inflorescence, to 2.8" [7 cm] long, few to several [to 10] flowered inflorescence with the successively opening flowers held towards the apex and has 2, linear, acute bracts.
