Found in the Philippines at elevations up to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a stout, woody rhizome enveloped by brown, imbricating bracts giving rise to very small pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, very leathery, oblong, rounded apically, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a sharply recurving, to 4.8" [12 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.
