Found in east northeastern Madagascar in mossy and lichen rich forests at elevations of 900 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to obliquely obovoid-cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a few, small, in a tuft, lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the summer on a .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
