Found in New Guinea in lower montane forests at elevations around 700 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with close set, obliquely ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single apical, erect, oblong, subapiculate, narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the fall on a very short, single flowered inflorescence with cucullate, apiculate, just slightly longer than the ovary floral bract and carrying a non-resupinate, rose red flower.
