Found in Sulawesi in mossy montane forests on twigs of small trees in moss at elevations of 1800 to 2500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with close set, distinct, somewhat angular pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal, [1.5 to 1.7 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with acute floral bracts.
