Found in New Guinea at elevations of 900 meters as a mini-medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with a cauliform rhizome giving rise to superposed with the top of the rhizome connate with the pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic-ligulate, subacute, narrowing below into the subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a very short, single flowered inflorescence

Schlechter states that the flowers are greenish white with a muddy reddish lip.
