Found in Sabah Borneo in mossy montane forests at elevations of 1600 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome and .16 to 1/2" [.4 to 1.2 cm] between each orbicular to discoid, non flattened pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, rather thick, ovate to elliptic, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on an erect, basal, pendent, 3.6 to 5" [9 to 12.5 cm] long, 10 to 22 flowered inflorescence with a triangular floral bract.
