Endemic to Thailand at elevations around 1100 to 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte that has clustered, globular to subconical to depressed, multiangular, glossy green pseudobulbs carrying 2, deciduous, lanceolate leaves that develop in the summer and fall off before the plant blooms in the fall to winter on a basal, very short peduncle, rachis to .8" [2 cm] long, densely 20 to 30 flowered inflorescence with floral bracts that are slightly longer than the pedicel and ovary.
