Found in western Sumatra at elevations around 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, hanging epiphyte with close set, adpressed to the rhizome, ovoid-oblong pseudobulbs carrying a single, strap-shaped, minutely apiculate, narrowing abruptly into the short, petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, basal, short, 2 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, more or less acute, scarcely as long as the ovary floral bract.
