Found in penninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Sulawesi and New Guinea in mangroves and lowland forests on trees on steep rocky slopes and along rivers at elevations around 400 to 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with clustered, minute, ovoid-cylindrical to globose pseuduobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic to obovate, rounded to obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, 3/4 to 1.2" [1.7 to 2.7 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
