Common Name The Graceful Bulbophyllum [Dryas is a greek Tree Nymph]

Found in penninsular Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra in lower and upper montane forests in very exposed, dry locations at elevations around 1300 to 2200 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with discoid, non-flattened pseudobulbs and carrying a single apical, erect, thick, elliptical, light green, shortly petiolate leaf that blooms in the winter on a 1" [2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a tubular floral bract.
CAUTION Slight variations from the TYPE here such as in the lip ridges which almost converge and the lack of horns at the apex of the column and the differences in lip coloring.
